Dash Cut Warranty Issue
I picked up my 50th Camaro back in early September and drove 3.5 hours to pick it up and drive it home. I had focused on issues on the outside of the car and missed a cut in the passenger side of the dash until i got home. I immediately let my salesman know and it seemed like no big deal so I decided to just have it addressed on my 1st visit to my dealership at home. Long story short, that was today and I'm now being told I'm SOL by my local dealer and GM will not warranty it as it's a cut and was not reported within 24 hours of delivery. Though I reported it well within that time to my selling dealer and even put it in my GM survey. At no point was I told this has to be fixed immediately by the selling dealer or it would not be warrantied.
Does anyone have any contacts I can speak with at GM or Chevrolet in regards to getting this resolved? I'd prefer not to go back to my selling dealer as they are 3.5 hours away, did some shady stuff during delivery and my survey for them was not kind.

Important question. What did you do to document the conversation? If nothing you can complain and they may bend and offer resolution but without anything they can just as easily stick to their position.

Unfortunately bud I think you hit the nail on the head when you said you were sol. I had major issues which I noticed when I got home and i contacted the selling dealer 5 hours away, I even recorded the conversation. GM did absolutely nothing to help me and it basically came down to it was my fault, I took delivery of the car and could have backed out at any time. I went through bbb and attorney general and even contacted a lawyer which cost me too much in the end I had to suck it up and chalk it up as a lesson learned. It's really unfortunate that we spend this kind of money for a new car and we end up with issues like yours with no line of recourse. Good luck bud I think the sooner you just learn to live with it the sooner you'll be able to forget about it and just focus on enjoying it. Easier said then done trust me.
