Sorry for taking the day off guys... Oh and we had loss over the weekend so maybe that could be taken into consideration. Also email is always there if you want something answered quickly.

Now if you want to please line up some actual questions I'd be glad to answer them.

Is there an actual horsepower gain with these headers over stock manifolds
using stock cats?

If there is no gain, how do you justify the 1,100.00 price tag?

I'm sure with the use of hi-flo midpipes you could get a little hp
out of them but then you would still be illegal...right?

I bought a pair of edelbrock shorty's when they were selling out at
155.00. I saw your headers and thought I would wait and see what
if any hp gains were to be had and to see how they would be priced.

To tell the truth at 1,100.00 for shorty's I was shocked...Totally out
of my price range. Not that I can't afford them,I can.
But if I came out with a set of shoe laces for your air jordans
for 500.00 and said they wont make much of a difference in running
or jumping,Even if you could afford them would you buy them?

1)Yes the previous quote of 10hp and 14tq is the gain with the stock cats.

If there is no gain, how do you justify the 1,100.00 price tag?

2))See Above

I'm sure with the use of hi-flo midpipes you could get a little hp
out of them but then you would still be illegal...right?

3)Correct moving the cats is illegal and covered over and over again.

I bought a pair of edelbrock shorty's when they were selling out at
155.00. I saw your headers and thought I would wait and see what
if any hp gains were to be had and to see how they would be priced.

4)You dont have to justifiy anything to me here if you can great if you can't I'm sorry again thats totally your business. Just like I don't have to count out hrs of fab/design or testing costs.

But if I came out with a set of shoe laces for your air jordans
for 500.00 and said they wont make much of a difference in running
or jumping,Even if you could afford them would you buy them?

5)I wear AirMax 95

6)Included with the set up will be hardware, gaskets, fuel line holders, and a few other thing unique to our kit. As always long tubes are the way to, however guys expressed a need for a CARB cert and we went ahead and did that for the greater good. We are the only ones that have done so. I know some people will hate just to hate and thats fine, therte are for the guys that want to be legal so we accomidated them, nothing more nothing less. We also made power doing so, granted we aren't moving mountains here but, I have nothing to gain by making up numbers guys can't reproduce.

If the Camaro ZL1 manifolds and cats are like the LS9/Z06 (3" vs. 2.5"), then I would go with those...In the LS3 corvette's going from stock LS3 manifolds and cats to LS9/Z06 stock manifolds and cats gains are around 20HP...So I am going to wait and see what the ZL1 will have plus it will look stock.

Thats a very interesting statement. You wouldn't happen have background to this, maybe an article, actual figures, a depth explanation to this? I thought the LS9 had larger intake and exhaust ports which would require a larger exhaust manifold to get all the pressure out fast. Wouldn't we want to have something that equalizes the pressure? I mean I am no mechanical engineer but thinking about fluid here, if you water pressure that gushes out a 2 7/8th hose and then you think you are going to increase the flow by hooking up a 7inch hose to it, it trickles out cause it doesn't have the same velocity/pressure. It takes more water to fill up that diameter and the pressure given is not equivalent enough to do so. Again I don't know much about mechanical engineering, but that analogy fits perfect with this as well. If you don't have lots of pressure coming out and have an exhaust that is too big, wouldn't you possibly loose power or pressure or something? I am completely open to hear someones response on this and inform me on the mechanics on this.

If you visit the corvette forum it is widely known "inexpensive" mod (~$400) to get near (~75%) what long tubes will get you in an LS3. For states with emissions like California, it looks stock and no CEL to worry about...

I can provide a few references of the topic:

Not trying to revive this post. Just wanted to correct some info. The JBA shorties are not C.A.R.B. approved as I stated earlier. They are still working on it. It was E.O. pending.
