Sure does! That carbon fiber film just sucks the mass out of any component you put it on. Remember, you heard it here first....carbon fiber sucks mass!

Just checking in, finally figured me out my weird braking issue.

When the dealership did the install they didn’t secure the rotor backing plate. When I hit a bump during braking the plate shifted and dig into the brake. I could only see the front side of the rotor so couldn’t tell.

Thankfully nothing worse happened and the dealership is owning the issue and replacing the power stop pad and rotor on the drivers side.

I see yesterday was start back for some GM plants. Wonder how this will affect 2020 MY for the Corvette and Camaro.

Hey guys, picked up a 2SS fifty the other day. How do you care for the matte stripes? I’d like to keep a simple detailing Maintenance routine. I’ve already clayed, polished and sealed. I’d like to be able to wash it either at home with power washer or at the diy car wash then use a wax and dry product for drying and wax maintenance. In between washes use an instant detailer. Any suggestions on products to use that won’t alter the appearance of the matte stripes? Or am I overthinking this..

I just use Adam's Polishes car shampoo or rinsless wash. Have never had a problem.

Aaron, congrats on picking up your F1FTY share some pics!

And like Heath said (glad to see you back man), Adams polishes makes great stuff. They have a matte detailer spray that I use and swear by. Among other items from them.

Congrats Aaron! Welcome to Club F1FTY! You do know that you have 50 days to read through the entire thread, right? There WILL be a quiz.

Just kidding of course.....maybe....maybe not....

Soleil, sorry, I’m just seeing this question. For the coil covers I just used the closest Plasti-dip color I could find. I put painters tape over the letters and sprayed like crazy. Looks great from 3 meters away. Ok from 2 meters. Blech from 1 meter. I’m going to pull the Plasti-dip off and paint them eventually. Just still deciding on the paint scheme.

As for taping the letters, it worked for covering them from the spray, but a lot of the red came off with the tape.

Pics of new ride. I would like to be able to simply use a spray wax all over the wet car and wipe dry. Not sure if it would discolor the matte. It’s a beautiful car, I love it and can’t believe how much technology are in these things.

Congrats to the new ride.
Do not use any wax on the matte vinyl. You will ruin the matte vinyl. There are special products for it.

Don't worry Martin. Hmmm wich color should I go with? I am on the same side, just can't decide wich color scheme I should go with.
