program fob

I changed the ecm in my 16 camaro 2.0, I was told i had to reprogram the fob,car will not start, which i cannot do, I followed the directions in the book that came with the car, still can't. someone help me out. I have 2fob, but would like to only program one.

If I understand what you are saying, you need to reprogram the fobs because you replaced the control module where the fob programming was stored. (I'm not sure if changing out an ecm requires further tuning to it to get the fobs to work)

You say you only want to program 1 fob, does the other one work?

If neither one works (or just one actually) you need to PRECISELY follow the directions in the owners manual "Programming without Recognized Transmitters." This will change the previous programming, changing the code on all the newly programmed fobs.
