Going Ethanol Free?
Hello, all.
Forgive my ignorance, but I've been contemplating running ethanol free on my v6 Camaro RS. My owners manual says that 87 is recommended, but Ethanol Free at WaWa near me is 89 octane. How will this affect how my Camaro runs? I'm hoping to squeeze out a bit more power before I head to tuning. Any insight is appreciated. |

It'll likely run rich. Not a terrible thing in moderation.

You're not gaining anything by going ethanol free. Except paying more for gas.

I have been running it in my car since new, nearly 3 years. Same stuff, WaWa 89.

You might get a little bit better mileage and performance with pure gasoline, but not enough to offset the cost of buying non-ethanol gas.
Interesting site I found: https://www.pure-gas.org/about |
