I have had it in for 3 times for this issue specifically. lemon law in my state says I need to do the 3 times, and they get one final time to fix the issue. I contacted gm over the issue and they oversaw the whole thing for the 3rd fix. thats when they replaced my tc and apparently tuned the tcm to something unknown to me, but the transmission shifts differently than it ever had.

if the problem comes back, they have 1 last time to fix it, as per documention I sent to them, or they themselves said they would probably offer to buy my car back. thus far, no lawyers have been involved.

luckily/unluckily however, the problem hasn't returned.

Know of 3 A8s locally with shudder. One of them dumped his car since the local dealers suck.

Mine is ok so far ..... almost 20K miles on it, got it at 7k. I cannot replicate the issue like I can on the other camaro A8s (Cruise at 60-80, hit an incline) that I have access to. I suspect its a matter of time.

That major issue is the reason I opted for an M6 when I purchased last week.

There is now a class action lawsuit covering all GM vehicles that were unfortunate enough to have these transmissions (8L45 + 8L90)

https://www.classaction.org/media/du...motors-inc.pdf

My car has had fluid flushed multiple times and TC replaced. It's performing ok now but still noticeable especially with the hard jerks in cold weather. Is the supposed Q1 fix real? Or is GM just trying to wait out the 5 years hoping everyone's warranties will expire?

New fix is just another fluid flush.

Had transmission/differential flushed and their new fluid installed today. I don't have high hopes based on reading what everyone else posted, but hope the shudder does not return.

This was not the Q1 fix that has been stated to come out I take it? I had what you had done when I got back from LA in late October and have had zero issues since then and I drove the car pretty tough. It’s put away now, so I won’t get a feel again until March or April.

Actually, since he said "new fluid" I'd guess it was the new fix, since unfortunately, new fluid (again) and a different machine to force a harder flush is all the new TSB is.

I still don't get it though. What in the world are they trying to flush out of these things. I'd understand if we are still talking about the original "bad" fluid from the 2016 models, but that was switched up a long time ago.

They are flushing out the old fluid and any chances their might be any metal filings I’m sure. We all got ‘NEW’ fluid. There is something coming in regard to the Q1 fix.

The new Mobil1 fluid is the new fix for 2019. I will post a picture of my invoice Monday when I pick my car up.
