Stock Zl1 actual 1/4 Mile results?

Guys I’m debating selling my 2018 camaro 2ss with 5300 miles to upgrade to zl1
I have looked for 3 days at zl1 results/ time/ da / tire compound ect
It seems these cars are all over the map. Some saying that they can run 11.1-11.2 at 127 stock. Next bunch says they run 11.5-12. 120-122.
I’d be strictly going to zl1 for Performace gains and would be pissed if car ran anywhere near 11-5-12.0.
My ss runs 12.1-12.2 stock with Roto fab .
Anyone wish they built there ss instead of putting down the cash for zl1?
Thanks for opinions in advance

Just go to the 1/4 mile in drag racing and you can see the fastest to the slowest Zl1 times.

There's always going to be variance due to so many factors when drag racing, driver skill, track prep, tires, DA, wind speed and direction.

+200hp and -1s ET compared to your SS

Actual times will vary greatly due to the factors Z OH 6 quoted

Depends on your goals. If you want 650 HP and a warranty, get the ZL1. If you want to really go fast and aren’t worried about the warranty (like me lol) then you might as well buy an SS and mod it. Investing the extra $20K into a ZL1 doesn’t make sense if you’re going to upgrade everything anyway.

A10 ZL1 on stock tires will run an 11.1-11.4 no problem with a DA in the +1000 range. If you you are in an area your SS will run 12.1 with a Rotofab, low 11s are what your stock ZL1 will run on stock tires. 6 speed car...there is a huge variance.

What a car is capable of is a more of a range of times due to several conditions like DA (Density Altitude), 60ft times, track prep, tire, actuall temp/altitude, transmission, fuel quality, driver mod, weight, wheels, heat soak...
Low 60ft times are the main factor for faster ET's and DA (which also affects the ET), is a big factor for the mph.
The ZL1 has proven to be an 11 sec car in the 120-130 mph range. What you'll run will depend on the above mentioned factors.
I guarantee a ZL1 will leave your low 12 sec SS for dead on a highway roll where the 60 ft/traction isnt a factor..

11.4 is average with a competent driver in average air. The limiting factor is tires, conditions, and driver. A set of drag radials, good driver, Atco in the Fall, shouldn't be too hard to run high 10's. Some might say "driver shouldn't matter with a Auto", but you would be surprised how many have trouble modulating the throttle off the line. You can't just flat foot these cars off the line unless on a drag pack with great surface prep.

That’s the problem. Love the car with 2ss options and magnaride and npp. Also had ground affects on build sheet
But definitely wanting something faster.

Plenty of options for that...Whipple, Maggie, Edelbrock, Procharger... . Just gotta decide if you need the warranty and/or ready-to-go nature of a ZL1.
