Zl1 front bumper swap on 2020LT1

Hello all new to the site.
My wife and I just purchased a 2020 lt1 this weekend,we want to add the side skirts rear diffuser, wheels and tires, wing and front bumper with the canards for our car.
We love the looks of the zl1 but my wife doesnt need

600 plus hp,or leather or all the others stuff.
Shes very happy with the lt1 power.
We would like the details on the exterior swap, and heard a take off oem front bumper wont fit,as its wider??

Any help would be appreciated.
Phil and deedee

Hi Phil and DeeDee, welcome to the forum.
You are correct that the GM oem ZL1 bumper will not fit. However there are replicas available, i hear the Ikon motorsports bumper is the best. It's about $800 but needs to be painted before installation.
The GM oem ZL1 side skirts (rockers) will fit with a small modification, but again they need to be painted. Alternatively, there are replica ZL1 style rockers made by ACS composite or C7 Carbon that can be installed over your existing rockers.
Genuine ZL1 or ZL1 1LE takeoff wheels come up for sale regularly on the forum and are a direct swap for your stock wheels. Alternatively, replica ZL1 wheels from MRR, M650 or M716 are a lot cheaper. Either way you'll need wider tires.
I haven't found a ZL1 rear diffuser or replica for sale.
Hope this helps with your upgrade plans.

Adding onto what k818 said, if you get the ZL1 bumper then you will also need the different headlights. I do not know if they will work with your factory wiring harness sadly.

This is the closest thing available right now, from American Authority which some in the post the pic is from say is garbage. If it were me enjoy the LT1 and maybe Chevy accessories parts, Ground Effects, Spoiler, some type of vinyl decal kit. Something that makes the car stand out and makes the car look super nice.

I've had my share of trying out aftermarket bumpers, spoilers, hoods, etc throughout the last 15 years. I have never came across an aftermarket body component that I was happy with. Fitment, defects, strength have all been issues I have dealt with. I agree with the person above me that suggests looking at some of the GM accessories components to make alterations to the look of your LT1. Go to gmpartsdirect.com or a similar website and see what options you may have.

Welcome to the forums!

I have a 2020 2SS, so the car obviously started out slightly different with some of the factory "looks". Instead of trying to go to a ZL1 front end, why not consider a swap to an SS front end? They're more readily available as you can get them from a lot of places and are a direct fit to your car in terms of the mounting and such. Keep in mind that things like the DRL's likely aren't going to be able to be hooked up without some mods to wiring on the car.

As far as the trim pieces - You can stick with the stock diffuser and just add a Splitter and Side Skirts. I put on a kit from EOS that cost me $500 or so.

Hood shape of Non-ZL1 car will not match up with ZL1 bumper contours. Headlight shape it not the same, and im pretty sure the fenders are wider on the ZL1.
Only way to really get the look is an aftermarker bumper. Going OEM and buying the hood and fenders along with the ZL1 bumper and headlight is just not efficient spending of cash.

There's a gap between the fender and front bumper along the horizontal edge and it appears that the top portion doesn't line up correctly either.

On the SS, it's not bad, from the angle anyhow. On the other two, however, there are definitely gaps along that horizontal edge. Concerning that "the same bumper" fits three different of the "same cars" in different ways. This is one of the problems with aftermarket parts like this - fitment is inconsistent and can be heavily influenced by who puts it on and their level of skill as well as the actual tolerances that it's made to.

That's some great insight folks.
Didnt know the fenders where wider on the zl1,figured the hood would cause issues for sure.
Thanks guys.
