i did not tell the dealer to build this car, had no idea that it happened

it has to come to my surprise that a camaro with my specifications was built out of the blue with exactly what i want, the thing is that i did not tell the dealer to order the car/build it and did not give them a single penny for an allocation or signed a document, did not physically went to the dealership or hell not even backed out at the last minute, what do i do now.

the sales man called me that "my car" was ready, but technically i inquired about information back in august 2020(now its January 2021 as of this writing) and i asked him what's going and he said he was going to come after me because i messed with him, but i didn't do shit to him or spoke to anybody else at the same dealer after august 2020,actually i was disgusted after the salesman's performance for a request i asked for(not ordering the car)

are they looping me in, blackmailing me or this is a joke/prank, but overall it was unethical, for a damn car

It’s not April 1st yet. I’ve never heard of such ridiculousness. I’ve never heard of a dealer ordering a car without some kind of deposit upfront. Usually none refundable is my understanding.

I have never seen a dealer order (and purchase!) a car, especially a low volume performance coupe, to a customer's personal spec without any sort of commitment.

If they just did it anyway, they probably didn't expect to have problems selling the car, meaning they'll probably leave you alone without any fuss if you decline to take delivery.

By the way, I was only half joking about buying the car, if this is the exact configuration you wanted, you might as well consider taking it. Who knows, you may have some leverage, because the dealership invested their own funds into the car and they will want to see it gone ASAP. Okay, the way they placed an order after your simple inquiry might have been uncalled for and unprofessional, but why not make the best of it for yourself.
