This is kind of off topic from the original intent of this thread, but I just bought a 2016 2SS Convertible and my car has the option to have the mirrors turn downward when reversing. I have it set to do that right now, but I may turn it off since I need to be able to see my garage shelving and toolboxes when parking in my tiny garage rather than the garage floor. lol

My garage is type small as well but all i was more worried about was taking off a mirror backing out then anything else. LOL! It is a awesome feature and to be honest if you live in a city where you need back in to parallel park often, then its a must. One feature this Challenger don't have and is making it more of a battle to park around here for me currently. |

Indeed it would be nice to have power folding mirrors as an option. Our 2016 Traverse has it, so it isn't like Chevrolet didn't have the parts or the know-how, it was left out of the 6th gen Camaro either for cost cutting, build streamlining or weight saving reasons, quite possibly all three.
The Traverse is a very tight fit for our garage with the mirrors folded out, less than 2 inches on each side, so the option is literally a paint saver. Fortunately the Camaro is narrower and thus the lack of mirror folding isn't much of an issue, for this garage at least, but I'm sure some would have been willing to pay for power folding mirrors (myself included).
