Fusion Sport
AWD 325HP, 380LB/FT of torque. Should make on hell of a DD.
http://www.autoblog.com/2016/06/09/2...ort-380-lb-ft/ Why can't GM do something similar? |

That's pretty cool..I do wish GM would do with the Malibu since I find the Malibu to be the better looking car.
Given how well the ecoboost motors respond to modifications and tunes..it shouldn't be hard to get the Fusion Sport to 400 HP AWD and much higher torque. |

This could be a perfect DD for those who want a fast, semi sporty car while retaining a very low key image. Mid to low 5 second 0-60 would be able to beat most cars at stop lights

GM doesn't even put V6's in cars this size anymore.

That is a nice car, if I was in the market for a sedan, that would be on my list!

I don't find that to be a good looking car at all. At least when they were shamelessly stealing the Aston Martin nose it looked good. The Malibu is a better looking car for sure. Maybe this will push GM to respond.

Nice value but i'd take the Chevy SS over this any day despite the stupid name and higher price.

That is pretty impressive. For about $34 grand, which would translate to even less after dealing, that would be quite the daily driver...I am due in a few years too, hmmmmmmmmm. Quote:
GM based Camaro forum or not the Fusion is a much better looking car then the Malibu to my eyes. The lower front areas on the Malibu are terrible looking to me. It looks sad and droopy and like an afterthought...I do like the back though. The survey on Road & Tracks Facebook page from a couple months ago had the Fusion, Malibu and 200 on it asking "what one looks the best". The Fusion had like 49% of the votes, the Malibu had 35% of the votes and the 200 had 16% of the votes. Last time I saw it it had over 3000 voters... |

If the SS had more aggressive looks it would be on my radar but that MSRP of 46K is to rich for my blood. + Chicago winters AWD (even if it is FWD biased) is a plus. I drove my Mustang's through the winter and while I could deal with it, just don't feel like dealing with RWD in the winter anymore lol.

Wonder how quickly you will start breaking parts if you tune the motor on this? People on jalopnik are all about the 'take the difference between this and a SHO and I'll make you a SHO killer' logic.

I did just fine with my Mustang's with all season tires. From 2003 to 2010. I am sure with winter tires it would have been even easier. I am just at that point where a car like a Mustang/Camaro I wouldn't want as a DD anymore. (and the SS is to expensive lol)
I want my DD to be something I can just get in and drive, and be capable of some spirited driving lol |

Shouldn't be an issue as long as you don't over due it, as I don't see too many heavy duty aftermarket parts coming out for this car. But some of the F-150 aftermarket parts should carry over as it uses the same engine. I think this will be quicker than a SHO stock to stock due to the weight difference. I think I read the SHO weighs like 500 pounds more, and it only has a 40 hp advantage.
