1st Gen'r from the Panhandle of Florida
Hello Forum...
Name's John. Retired Air Force. Still work for them as a civilian in an Airborne Radar shop for Special Ops aircraft. I've owned 4 Camaro's, and my current is an all numbers matching, basically stock, 210hp '67. She's a 10C car born about 7 days before I was in October of 1966. I've owned it for 6 years. She's Marina Blue inside and out. I call her "TruBlu" (or Edna when she's being stubborn) I can finally afford to get a nicer model of new Camaro, so I have the 2017 50th Anniversary 2SS, and the 2017 ZL1 on my Radar. I turn 50 myself this October, and this is my gift to myself. Struggling a bit with what to get, as the 50th holds special meaning to me, and having the anniversary edition 2SS would be a great 50th birthday gift. BUT, getting the bad boy of them all, the ZL1, is definitely something I would like to do. I can finally afford something like this... I'm torn between these two, and I know a bunch of people are going to say 'get the ZL1'... and I understand the thought process... but turning 50, and getting a 50th anniversary just sounds cool, sounds like the right thing to do to enjoy the car for years to come... (wish it came in throwback colors, not just nightshade grey. Anyway, I'll post in the other sections my questions about Insurance people are paying for 1LE and Z/28's, and well as previous Gen5 ZL's, etc... but before I get carried away on those I thought I'd at least stop here and intro myself to the group. So, anyway, HELLO!

John, Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to Camaro5. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, wives', husbands, girlfriends and boyfriends here don't care....and take it easy.
oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here. Welcome!!
