I read conflicting opinions as to whether or not to keep the stock tires on all winter.
If you have another car, especially a beater, I would drive the beater when you can in the winter. I drove my SS numerous times this winter, the mornings here in NC do get into the 20s, teens, and even sometimes single digits. I drove in the 20s, it was fine, but the key is to have the car in a warm garage like mine, so the tires are warm in the morning. When it gets really cold or the occassional snow/ice, I drive in with the wife in our SRX.

Yeah. I'm leaning toward the beater idea. Like you, my garage is heated so I can drive the Camaro on 'nice' days.
On the other hand, my wife bought me a Roto-Fab CAI for my birthday. Maybe I can talk her and my daughter into buying me a set of cheap wheels and all seasons for Christmas.

The problem with this world is stupidity.
I'm not saying there should be penalties for stupidity,
but why don't we just take the warning labels off everything and let the problem solve itself.

Planning to drive my other car when it's cold/icy/snowy, Camaro on other days when it's not so cold if there's not too much salt/crap on the roads. My other car is not really a 'beater', though.

I made it sound worse than it actually is. It is not really a beater. It is just an older TOYOTA
