New owner of a 2018 3.6 Lt1 with questions

Hey all, picked up my used camaro about two weeks ago from the dealership and I love it! Question is what did the previous owner do to it? I can see they installed a k&n cold air induction, flowtech exhaust, wing (zl1 wing maybe?) Pulse wheels, but thats about the end of my knowledge of camaros. Is there anyway to tell if they had a tune done? The car runs like a scorched dog and sounds great but all these upgrades and the car only has 11,000 miles after two + years? Any tips, advice, knowledge is greatly appreciated. Mike

Congrats & welcome! There are some knowledgeable people on here, and it can be fun on occasion.

From what I can see, it looks like the previous owner had possibly painted the calipers or put overlays on? Windows have been tinted, dark tails/third brake but those could be from the factory. I believe that is an SS spoiler, not ZL1. Gas cap cover & black bow ties are extras, again, could be from the factory. Does it have a full exhaust or axle back? I don’t think I’ve ever heard of flowtech.

That’s an SS “stanchion” spoiler.
The cold air intake has likely voided the engine portion of your powertrain warranty, though. The only CAI that doesn’t is the Chevy Performance system that comes with a dealer-approved (and free as part of the kit) tune.
I’m not sure what exhaust mods do to the PTW.
No way to know if it’s been tuned unless a GM dealer can access the ECM and see.
I see you have the A8? Look up TSB 18-NA-355 here or google, and consider taking it in to have the flush done as a preventative measure. Just tell them it’s doing it, even if it isn’t. Once done, you won’t have to worry about the shudder issue in the future.
Email socialmedia@gm.com with your VIN and ask for the “build sheet”. They’ll send you the factory build sheet (a two page PDF) with the “DNA” of the car; all the options/RPO codes the car was built with, and the build date.

Welcome to the Forum! I believe after reading the title of your thread, there is a bit of confusion. I believe your car to be a V6 car, likely the LT? So it can't be a 3.6 and an LT1. I will second the previous statement that the spoiler is the SS version and it does have caliper covers. I also notice a cover on the antenna. If
you ever have any questions, don't hesitate asking.

Good catch! I usually am one to notice right away, but I was too excited to look at the photos. That and the LT1’s did not exist for the 2018 production year.

Nice car! It looks like the mods are:
Zl1 1le tail lights
SS spoiler
Black bowties
custom wheels
caliper covers
fuel cap cover.

Welcome! As far as the tune goes you might need to take it to someone who does tuning, so they can scan it.

Definitely looks like a Brembo Brake upgrade as the 1LT would have single puck rear calipers for sure... Looks like the fronts are upgraded as well...

There is no GM cold air performance intake for the 2018 and up V6 Camaros, only the 2016-17 V6s. I think it has something to do with encryption of the ECM starting in 2018 and GM not adding a compatible tune. So unless you can find a flexible dealer, the CAI will void your powertrain warranty.

Nah that's gotta be the caliper covers, LT's can't have rear Brembo's due to the parking brake being integrated into the caliper. Looks like these covers.

As for the tune, take it to a shop that might check for you but I doubt it is tuned. The CAI and exhaust is what most people do, having the CAI does change the driving feel of the car which may be the factor that feels different then OEM drive.

Not sure about that, the TCM encryption began 2017, so the 2016 is the only one that isn't encrypted. You can use any GM CAI but they'll probably still not honor the warranty inclusion, they're all here

The GM CAI comes with an ECM calibration included to prevent a lean MAF reading. If your dealer uses a VIN for a 2018 or newer V6 instead of a 2016-17 when they reflash the ECM, they’ll get an error from GM saying it can’t be installed. The Chevrolet Performance page explicitly states their CAI is for 2016-2017 V6 only. Doesn’t seem to make sense, but for whatever reason you can’t install a CAI in a 2018 V6 and keep your warranty. Not even GM’s own part.
