I don't know where it's physically wrapped...last generation came wrapped from the factory (or nearby). But it was removable with some heat and elbow grease.

I hear you...and that is unfortunate.

If it's any consolation...perhaps a 1SS with the accessory lowering kit (when it's available), and maybe in the future optional Recaros?

I thought the MRC would throw a few people...but that thought (above combo) immediately came to mind as a potential option.

It felt like the same throw as the standard SS. But the suede was nice.

He talked about the seats in the paragraph talking about the V6 1LE

"On the inside, the car features optional Recaro racing seats (with a revised design and bolstering to help with shifting versus last generation). The seats come in black leather with microfiber suede seating surfaces, and mimic the look of the standard seats’ inserts. "

I have no doubt the 1LE will be an awesome car. If it didn't come with standard MRC, I would have a hard time not upgrading right now.

That's good to know!!! I really do like the throw distance, but I do not like the lower housing bushings. They need to be polyurethane tbh.

Recaro are leather bolsters, leather back, suede inserts, suede head "insert", with this real fancy-looking metal piece around the neck area. They're significantly tighter than the last-gen Recaros, and they remolded the shoulder and side bolsters so you could shift easier without hitting your elbow. Not something I've had to deal with, but I've heard about it from some people with the seats.

They feel awesome. They're power!!! Just no heat or memory.

Wonder why they didn't just make it a model this time around considering all the changes? Anyways, hell of a job GM.
Yes - they definitely hit this one out of the park. It should put up some blistering figures.

Makes one wonder...how the hell can they go any faster? ....oh wait....add 100hp.

The package will be available with all colors.

I'm kind of excited for what prospects this has for the 2017 model year, since I doubt these will be sold as 2016's. It means we're getting:

- New colors. Hopefully that green is offered, but we'll see.
- Some way of ordering the SS with the blade from accessories package
- Performance data recorder

I myself would love to have 2SS with 1LE, but I understand that purists would not like this. But with a HUD standard and the ability to add the spectrum lighting kit, it'll be pretty close to a 2SS if you configure it properly. The only thing that you would be lacking is a good sound system — I kind of wonder if that can be added to a 1LE build sheet separately. Probably not? :/

Purist = 00.001% of potential buyers. I want a 2SS 1LE like my 5th gen. It's 2016 I want creature comforts with my race car

Seems that most of you just need to buy a fully loaded 2SS (auto with no mrc) with the big brake kit and wait for someone to make 1le knock wheels and be done. Aka the heaviest setup you can get for a comfy track car with cool lights a LOUD stereo and extra parts you don't want.

You're welcome. Not everyone could be there, so I'll do my best to share what we experienced!

All those creature comforts will just weigh you down. Makes for a crappy race car.

If you want a track focused but still loaded Camaro, you need to wait for a ZL1-type model.

A little bit sad with "1SS only". The HUD is a cool feature. Lots of technologies are gone.
