Kip suggested a 216/603/224/595/116+4 .What do you think and how would you say that compared to the cam you had in your '06 GTO ?

Your is kind right in the middle of the 2 I had in my Goats. 220/220 .550/.550 114 in the '04 LS1. 228/232 .563/.575 112+4 in the '06 LS2. I loved the little 220 cam. Made everything I wanted from 1,000-5,500 RPM. The 228 cam waited till around 4,000RPM before it really kicked in. So I think for a DD spirited driving, your cam should do you well. I'm one who tries to keep lift under .600 just because I believe that is the threshold between sinlge and dual springs and the chore of changing said springs in 15-20k.
Good luck.

Thank you for that very helpful feedback Much appreciated! I too was a little uneasy of going up to .600 lift. I'm going to ask Kip of CAM Motion for something a little less. Thanks again

CAM Motion knows their stuff. I'd first discuss it before changing it. Times change....and like us elderly, we don't like change.
I would at least talk about spring longevity and valvetrain stress.
Good luck

Decided to spec out my own Cam Motion.
220/226 .558/.563 +3 115.
Start gathering the parts as soon as the social security check gets deposited.

Interesting. I think that would result in a 7 degree overlap. With the extra 3degrees of advance I would very much like to hear it.

Thank you. I want it to be a relatively healthy cam...just not too healthy. Lord, I hate to start this again.....but, in my old age , Im over loud exhaust and thumpy cams. Im more of a stealth kind of guy now. Like to go fast, just dont want you to hear it till im way ahead of you.
