Caution on this 2014 Z28 AGM
Im not here to start any drama. The purpose is to provide my feedback on this 2014 Z28
ZBeast has since requested to delete his post. So any out of state buyers use caution if pursuing this Z28. I PM’d Zbeast about purchasing his Z28. I had a check in hand and would be driving over 5 hours to pick it up. Keep in mind I had the check in hand and would meet him at Navy Federal so he could cash it immediately on the completion of the deal Since my original inspector who is well respected in SoCal couldn’t make it I paid Ryan (Z28 owner) and mechanic to inspect it since he was local prior to me showing up. I paid $175 to Ryan to complete an inspection. Zbeast stated that the car could not be driven because the Z28 wasn’t insured. I already had the Z28 quoted and would be insured in a matter of seconds. Secondly Ryan’s shop has full coverage on any vehicle Ryan drives. Things quickly got weird and Zbeast basically shoved it back in the garage and that was that!!! Inspection over. So In closing I strongly urge anyone to get this Z28 fully inspected to include being driven prior to ever purchasing it. Buyer Beware Last edited by 1badchicken; 08-14-2019 at 08:20 PM. |

Pretty sure he had the motor replaced earlier on too, iirc.

Yeah I just had several issues with the progression of the deal and something just didn’t add up. Especially when you have a check in hand
I’ve never heard of anyone selling a used car that wouldn’t allow for a test drive to ensure all components are in working order. Also the paint was no where near the condition as reflected in the linked photos. Which would expected if tracked but showing out of date photos isn’t a good representation Oh well. I’ve already moved on, sadly |

I think the owner did not really want to sale the car, we did the HUD install in the car and sold him the extra rims and TR6060 he has a lot of money in that car, so it may be he was mad he had to sale the car, and felt uncomfortable, I see your point and i see his to.

It came down to wanting to ensure it was what he said it was. I do feel if it was sellers remorse my $175 fee to inspect it would have been returned at a minimum. I really don’t see his point Both guys who inspected it are very well respected on this forum and the 6th Gen forum. In the end my only concern is to allow out of state buyers to make their own judgement if and when this Z28 becomes available again. Im out $175 and several days lining up financing and driving to San Diego just to pick up the check. So in total it cost two days and over $150 in fuel expenses for nothing. I could have spent the $325 in other things... |
