Order any size of fries and a burger and you will get more than you can comfortably eat (at least at our local one) and they are good.
Plus you can eat all the peanuts you want while you wait.
We love that place.

To the OP, yes McD's fries aren't what they used to be.
Curiously, I have eaten at McD's in England and France and in both locales they tasted much better.
I can't explain why, but they were.
I wanted to try them in Germany a few months ago but there was a line of people stretching out the door (no kidding) so I passed.
I’ve eaten McD’s in Germany and China. It was good. KFC in China is ok but not equivalent.

I took this picture last August

Interesting. Love the photo.
I was in Germany in August and it was quite hot at the time.
So I suspect that people were lined up to buy sundaes or other cold things.
But I literally couldn't get close enough to see what people were getting and wasn't going to wait in the sunshine to find out.
So I ate street fair food instead downtown and it was great (see photo).
No french fries (or pomme frittes or whatever) there though.
Frikadelle, schnitzel and any other imaginable German comfort food.

Then I was in China in October and ate at a Burger King there (see photo).
It was "good", but different.
Their fries were OK.
I saw KFC and Dairy Queen too but I mostly ate at the hotel.
And of course, Starbucks......... lots of Starbucks.

try this, make your own jo-jos, its so easy:
cut yellow potatoes into wedges
toss in bowl with olive oil, sea salt, black pepper, ground rosemary to taste
place on baking sheet with all wedges standing up
bake at 400 for about 35 minutes
serve with a high quality ketchup such as Heinz with cane sugar (not corn syrup)

Now that is a french fries done right. I make these up for the whole family, its easy and they disappear quickly, and the wife appreciates it. I haven't eaten fast food more than once or twice a year in a pinch. Now when I was in my teens and early 20's i'd be in the fast food lineup all the time. Nowadays with a real job and a normal schedule there just is no need. I dropped that habit as soon as I possibly could.

Nice. Please send us a recipe for cooking great fries in an Air Fryer!

McDonalds fries are good when hot, they were better in the real animal fat oil days.

Arguing over any fast food fry is a waste, as is any french fry that came into contact with sea salt.

Air fryers are beyond overrated.
