No doubt a nice package.....but unless the price is right, you can mod your SS (with or without MRC) and be about the same set-up....
3 seconds faster on Big Willow than a standard SS....Guessing that's a standard SS without MRC, brake upgrades, tires and wheels, etc.......Depending on the price, a few mods to a non 1LE SS, and you are good to go... |

I wonder what's making the v6 gain roughly 70lbs and will those same parts make the SS gain that weight?

You're talking about a platform that was developed with millimeters of material shaved off components to save a handful of pounds. It shouldn't surprise anyone that the 1LE is meant to be somewhat of a stripper car.

Obviously, nobody's driven one yet - but the ELSD is magical, according to magazines of the Stingray...and they've recalibrate MR for this particular setup. Of course, as always, a person can modify his/her own car to keep up...but there's that subtle factor of the driving "feel"...and I have a hunch that it's going to be effortless to drive this car ridiculously fast. Well if its already gaining 70lbs +/- another 50lbs in comfort items would make a swing of 120lbs plus so thats a big number.

I'll be keeping my '16 once it gets here I think... The 1LE is gorgeous, but it's not a practical daily driver for me. Fricken sexy looking car though!

Definitely a convenience having it already set-up on the 1LE....but DIYing can save money on mods.... |

I watched the videos and that is a really nice looking spoiler and it compliments the overall design angles of the car; fluid. Those wheels for the SS make the difference in the appearance/stance of the car. I already secured financing and my down payment. My issue will be picking out the color. Good times.
Thanks Mr. Wyndham and the poster of the video. |
