Hennessey CAI Sound vs Others?

I have a 2013 SS and am wanting a clean looking cold air intake that will also sound good. I’ve read that rotofab, vararaam, and cai are all amazing but I’m not necessarily looking into an increased performance. Can anyone send a video clip of their Henessey cold air intake so I can hear how it sounds? I’ve heard it sounds good but just can’t find a video of it.

The Hennessey intake is metal without a heat shield. For the most part it would underperform compared to the vast majority of the other top brands like Vararam and RotoFab.

When I first got my car I bought a used K/N cheap and it was ok but have since bought a CAI.

It looks awesome and sounds good too.

It looks like it belongs under the hood on a modern muscle car.

This is the first time I’ve ever seen someone ask about the way a CAI sounds.

Bo knows.

My car had a Hennessey CAI on it when I bought it. Unfortunately the previous owner didn’t purchase the heat shield to go with it so the thing was actually a hot air intake because all it was doing was sucking in hot engine bay air. Even with purchasing the Hennessey heat shield it does a TERRIBLE job isolating the intake from the engine temps. There’s a giant hole where the intake tube slides into from the top of the heat shield that doesn’t seal up.

If you’re looking for the open air box look, go with Rotofab. Their intakes are top notch and look great. You’ll get better performance as a side effect as well.

Ive had a K@N cai on my car for 8 years. It was my first mod. It has the chrome tube and looks and sounds great. This subject has been beaten to death. Youre not winning or losing a race because of your choice of intake Buy the one you want..you will be happier.

If you can hear the intake over your exhaust, you are doing it wrong.

I laugh, but he's right! I happened upon a Mustang the other night. He revved his engine at me real big so I opened my Noweeds diverters and "outdid" him.

^^^^ This, I have the same intake on my Camaro for the last 10 years, and also it was my first mod, sounds good especially with the giant intake manifold I'm running and the LT's and cam. I bought it because I liked the way it looked because I do a lot of car shows and cruises. As stated, get what YOU want because it is your car. When I romp on mine, you can hear all the big air being sucked up into the manifold!! Pretty awesome!!
