Help.. Check Engine Light

My check engine light came on today as I was getting on the freeway. I have a 2012 Camaro SS M6 with long tube headers 3" exhaust CAI ported throttle body and a custom tune. The tune was a dyno tune at a local shop in West Jordan Utah. My car only has 4200 miles on it, and only about 1200 miles after the mods and tune. There was no noise or drop in power accompanied with the check engine light and seems to be running as before. Thoughts, comments? Should I park the car? Thanks...

Need a code to help answer this. If the performance of the vehicle seems okay, you need not park the vehicle. I suspect that you have O2 sensor codes, and the tuner didn't set the code thresholds properly.

Would they have to put it back on the dyno to set the O2 codes properly?

Guess I will take it to auto zone and get the codes.... Very disappointing considering the cost of the tune.

I had an Autozone store check my car when it thru the CEL. They do it for free and give you a good idea what the issue is. Hopefully it is only what strych9 said.

A flashing CEL is not good. That is park time.

No. They would just need to change the programming parameters for those codes.

Flashing CEL = misfire, and you're right; you don't want to drive it with a misfire. That's why I said he's okay to drive IF he hasn't noticed any performance issues.

I'd take it back to the tuner and let them take a look at it. It's probably not anything serious and it's probably just something they overlooked.

Hit the Onstar button and ask for the code. They aren't happy to give them out, but they have to.

I have the same setup you do and I got a CEL, turned out to be P1130, which is for the O2 sensors, and thats a code that should be shut off anyways.

Lol. Ya you did. We all do when stuff like that happens. I had one when I first got my car and gunned it on the freeway. Almost brought it to the dealer but decided to look under the hood first. Turns out the cold air intake tube wiggled off a bit under WOT.
