lol, yeah it's not for everyone. It does have to be done in a tasteful way, and some people have been known to get crazy with it. I was skeptical about the red kneepad options on mine, but I think it helps contrast the interior a bit. Some people like the "performance" armrest but I thought there would be too much Alcantara all over the place.

Pretty car! Man that thing is BLUE.

A word to the wise, those sticky tires especially on the 1LE will pick up every rock in the county.. Best look into some rock guards (ZL1 addons) and some PPF for the rockers and the front fenders.

I've already got the factory rock guards ( in black) on the car. PPF is next up.

OP, my experience is almost identical to yours. 22 2SS 1LE 6M. Have had the car for about 2 weeks. Put about 700 miles on it. Did my own oil change at 500 miles, and finally let her breath! This car is amazing and so much fun. Comfortable, and powerful (not to mention sounds GREAT for a stock exhaust) it can do it all. Very much underrated IMO. My car is in the detail shop right now getting PPF and ceramic coat.

I used my GM points from the purchase of my ZL1 for that alcantara armrest. Not needed of course but I felt that there was so much alcantara everywhere else that the lack of it on the armrest looked out of place. My eyes and my elbow like it. I am not sure I would spend for it though if it weren’t for the GM points. Kind of pricey for an armrest.

I've got a deposit down for a 1le that's in transit and I'm torn between the grey performance arm rest and suede knee pads or the red SS arm rest and red kneepads(which is what was on my order that I cancelled after 4 months of no movement. )
I want the red seat belts too but taking off so many panels worries me.

I like the look of the alcantara armrest, however I was concerned how it would hold up to regular use. The Honda civic I had previously had a material ( not alcantara) center arm rest, and after a year or so of regular use it started to get discolored where I tended to rest my arm on it.

No worries on the panels. They actually just pop right on and off. The armrest install takes 5 minutes, just loosen a few screws and unseat the front clip, pop the new one on and keep the old one as a backup.

Easy to swap I just don't like the price.
