Why dont you just use the GM performance Z28 CAI? It has a factory fit in your SS. Its a little on the pricey side, but you wont get any better than and OEM fit and function with this. I have it on my 2SS and couldnt be happier with it. Driving down the road my intake air temps are within 3 degrees of ambient. https://www.summitracing.com/parts/nal-23454578
