Skip shift eliminator

Is there a preferred brand of skip shift eliminator for a 2017 ss? They look like they would work, but wanted to ask the gurus.

That 1st to 4th is annoying af

Alter your driving style just a little bit and you have no need for this thing...I never see it illum on the dash and you don't have to launch from a stop either.

Casper Electronics is the manufacturer of the connectors that a lot of companies are selling under different names. I ordered mine directly through their website. Works flawlessly so far.

It was easy enough to install. I shouldn't have to alter my driving style. You should be allowed to disable it in the settings.

If your driving style is super slow with low RPM upshits then you deserve the pain.

I have done this by shifting to third instead..... Still annoying though.

Some of us like to drive slower through residential areas.

I use this one and it works well: https://www.amazon.com/Muzzys-CAGS-S...t+Camaro&psc=1

It's basically two connectors and a resistor so not much to it.

Get real. There's plenty of conditions that would call for lower RPM upshifts (heavy traffic, residential / school zone, etc.). For $12 and 15 min to install, the skip shift eliminator is a no brainer.

If you could disable it through the MyLink screen, then GM wouldn't get credit for the (relatively small) fuel economy benefit the feature offers. Just be glad it's so easy to get around.
