1LE auto dim mirror options

I have had my 2018 1LE for a few weeks now. Love the car, but it feels like it's missing an auto dimming inside mirror. Homelink would be a nice addition too, but not necessary.

I found this: http://www.thatgmpartsguy.com/chevro...=mirror-inside

Its a OE auto dimming for 2SS/2LT etc. Is it plug and play? I don't want to lose the Onstar features, and I like the frameless mirror. There are a few options from Gentex for the frameless w/autodim & Homelink, but no Onstar. Any other options I'm missing?

My 2ss Mirror has everything you are talking about minus the homelink. But it does not look like the one in the picture and it is bezelless.

Got the new mirror. The plug and mount is the same between the two. New mirror is slightly different, just the buttons are a little different. However, when I plug in the auto-dim mirror, I get nothing. No lights, no auto dim. Looking at the pins on the plugs, they are different. Same plug, but different pinout.

Does anyone have a pinout reference for the mirror plug? I'm gonna keep the new mirror if there is a way to make it work.

That sucks, I was hoping it would plug n play... I remember I ordered one for my '06 Vette and got lucky, auto dim and compass had no issues. Stupid GM getting picky about these things :/

For anyone that finds this post on a search, I did get to make this work. Gen5DIY decided to make a harness for this conversion Yay!

Kind of expensive for a mod of this type, about $225 total, but I haven't found too many "cheap" mods on this platform anyways. Basically you can order the mirror from any GM parts house (which I don't have the PN#), and get the harness from Gen5DIY. It works, and that's good enough for me.
