Yikes.. I'm always wary of that here in Phoenix, tons of crap on the highways ALL THE TIME.
On the topic, can anyone tell me if there is supposed to be anything in this little slot in the styrofoam in the trunk where I'm pointing? There is a velcro strap there but there's nothing else there, looks like maybe it's where the scissor jack would go normally but I don't have one because 1LE?

Similar to what I did except I got for free a lightly scratched up aluminum CTS (non-V) 18x4 spare. Tire height is acceptable. Spare pinchweld jack from a GTO with torque wrench and non-marring sockets (for jack and lugs). The jack, wrench, and sockets fit nicely in the foam trunk organizer in the well. Rear needs only a 5/16" spacer to clear. Fronts need the thick adapter. eBay'd all I needed for $100ish. Way better than being stuck somewhere. Take it all out in 1 minute flat when you go racing. |

Problem was the nearest dealership was in the wrong direction, so I had to pay the difference. I was nervous when it got pulled on to the tow truck, but luckily it only barely touched the splitter. |

I think the ZL1's are shipped with them installed in the front springs as they have a longer splitter...

I think the 1LE's should have the shipping blocks for springs as well. This was on my car when it came off the truck.

I think they added the requirement for 1LE's to get the shipping blocks as well after complaints of splitter damage during shipping. My car was delivered end of December 2016 and i didn't have the shipping blocks or this warning label... luckily mine was undamaged
