It's about getting facts and proof of claims. Going around boasting about 60HP from a tune is going to draw lots of attention.

I'm sure he meant well and there was just a misunderstanding. He posted up dyno sheets and it was cleared up. Even if it was wrong information I do appreciate him putting the info out for us to look at... Maybe the tone of his responses was a little off, but I think we all have tough skin here.
It does look like small gains can be made and throttle response can be improved with a tune, but like everyone I want a little more out of it. Could we possibly see something better with time or is that pretty much all the gains that should be expected out of a tune for the lgx? |

Huge gains were nowhere to be found in the last two Camaro V6 engines for tune only (best I ever recall seeing was somewhere around 20, or maybe mid twenties) and I'd suspect that to be the case for the LGX. That said, a good tune can still be totally worth it in my opinion. Stack that up with some other basic bolt on mods and you'll have a very strong running V6. Side note: A good E85 tune should yield more HP and TQ.

haha, I just felt bad for him cause he deleted everything,
Since we can't see any of the earlier posts and I don't remember who the member was. For the sake of information does anybody remember if he had any bolt ons? Or was he completely stock? |

Such an old thread and discussion about Trifecta seems to be so rare. Any recent experiences of the Trifecta tune? I'm getting it soon..

I'm running it on my 16 RS. Needed it because I swapped the diffs out for a 2.0T 3.23 LSD. No complaints here. Been running it for like 3 years now and works great. Way cheaper than Overkill. I also run a JMS Throttle Controller.

Lol you're calling it way cheaper than Overkill on a 16RS, imagine how much cheaper it is for 2017+ where you have to pay additional $400 for Overkill transmission tune but not for Trifecta. Was a no brainer for me but blows my mind how majority still seem to get Overkill.. |

Anyone know how this affects Track Mode for an LGX with the 1LE package?
