To each his own.
It makes a ton of sense to those SS owners who purchased a '16-'18 put miles and enjoyed the car, and instead of owning a depreciating asset like almost every car, they are getting offers similar to what they paid years ago and in some cases, more than they originally paid. That is a win win in my eyes. Had I been able to purchase a v8 gen6 camaro years ago, I may be contemplating selling it and saving the money for when the market car values stabilize. Makes much less sense in my situation with a 1 year old camaro.

Honestly I don't get selling it to make 1 or 2K. Regrets almost guaranteed in a few months.

I planned on being buried in my Camaro (a 1SS A8 with NPP)...even though, now that I had a great, reliable daily driver, and my finances were much better than they were in 2017, I was craving a new 2SS 6M with some extras. I just couldn’t justify selling a car with less than 5K miles and that I own outright. Then I saw the crazy prices people were being offered. I knew I may do ok if I sold my car, because it was in mint condition, and had crazy low miles. I gave it a shot and Vroom offered me $1000 more than I paid for it new in 2017! Now seemed like the perfect time for me to get what I really wanted: Sell my car for a profit, and take a huge chunk of change that I can put down on a new 2SS 6M as soon as they are being built again, and the prices come back to earth a bit. It will be a tough wait, whether it’s weeks or months, but it will be worth it. I’ll be back in a Camaro asap. 👍🏻

Only reason I sell my Camaro is if I was getting another Camaro and that thread will be about the New Camaro. I plan on keeping mine though.

Plus you don't have to worry about the A8, my 5 year / 50,000 is up and I am not coming out of pocket for whatever happens to this transmission. I have had it serviced twice already.

trust me I thought long and hard about it, I had one in Texas (pretty much the same car) lined up. But the sting was too bad and too soon. I would have gone C8 but - well you know.

In your case I would understand being frustrated with issues.

Obviously your confused to stay around and add the odd comments while trading to the Dark Side. I am pretty sure your post on the Mopar site are about Camaro's and they are surely enjoying your posts there. “Rolling Eyes”

I hear ya. I had to have the first service done pretty early on, then I had the updated fix, the flush that is supposed to correct it for good. It had been perfect since that, but I have only driven roughly a thousand miles since getting it done. I had purchased an extended warranty to help ease my concern of it reoccurring, but I was able to return my GM warranty for a full refund, because I’ve had it less than a year and only driven 300 miles or so since purchasing it. 👍🏻

What does it matter if he does not currently have a Camaro?

To each his own.
But then what will you replace it with? Everything else is also pretty expensive, especially anything that is worthy of replacing a Camaro.

I wouldn't want to sell the car just for some money and be stuck in a family sedan for the summer when it's the best time to drive a sports car.
