I would put the new Supra performance up next to an SS rather than a V6. Unless you're talking about the 2.0T Supra, which I would match to the V6 or 2.0T Camaro.

Definitely. Several dyno tests and trap speeds at the track confirm its very underrated. Lots of people see a factory power rating and assume it's completely accurate, which is obviously not always true

The Honda accord is surprisingly quick....I've had my type R spanked more than once by an accord. Granted this is in a straight line.
Tire and suspension differ on the v6 model Camaro's- they have a different mission....hop in an SS or 1LE( a turbo 4 1le is a track weapon) equipped Camaro and its noticeably more sporty. I'd love to try out that BMW Supra..I mean toyota... |

I think the lightest Camaro is heavier than the heaviest Accord. Even a few hundred pounds can make a difference.

About the weight difference....a fully loaded 2.0t Accord Touring is slightly heavier than a base 2.0t Camaro. Also the Accord is slightly underrated (and FWD drive train loss is less than RWD loss) they are very evenly matched in their 2.0t variants

It would be a very difficult choice by comparing the performance of a Camaro V6 VS the Accord 2.0T

My main reason from moving away from the Accord is that I don't think they have their Turbo motors dialed in yet, with too much fuel getting by the piston rings and into the crankcase. Also, I'm not getting rid of the Accord and with a 2019 Camry SE in the garage also, we didn't need a third 4cyl sedan.

Yeah I thought new accord vs gen6 Camaro would've been apples to oranges but he's got a point. Donut media did a great video on perception of speed vs actually fast cars. |

Both cars do not compare, they are the best on their own: Accord: the best non luxury sedan, very reliable, practical with great space. Fast with its 2.0T and with great MPG with its Hybrid engine. Camaro is a superb handling Sport Muscle car with its amazing Alpha platform greatly combined with a strong V8 engine.
