Engine Code P257f

Took my Camaro out for a spirited drive today and got my first engine light :(

3 codes when I scanned:
- p257f
- p257f Pd
- p257 Pe

Anyone know what this may be?

Much appreciated
Dave

troublecodes.net says "P257F – Bonnet switch – circuit high", which prompts me to think it's your hood latch sensor. Others had a similar issue here, let's hope they'll chime in.

Got it, thank you. Glad to hear it probably wasn’t related to my spirited driving lol

I will set up an appointment for the dealership to look at it. I’d imagine that it should be covered under warranty.

I’ll keep everyone posted also on what the dealership says.

So very odd thing happened....

Cleaned the latch and the light cleared on its own. Possible that it could've just been dirty?

Still going to bring it in tomorrow morning to see what the dealership says.

What was the verdict on this? Jostled the wire when you cleaned it and fixed the open (loose pin) ???
