1LE = Awesome
After a few months of cold winter slumber, the temps made it to 57 degrees today and much if the road salt was washed away after some recent rain. I took the opportunity to replace the very messy brake pads with Powerstop no dust pads and take her out on a drive.
With only 500 miles on the clock before winter slumber, it was pure joy to get back behind the wheel of this beast. The new pads are great! No noticeable change in braking and no more black dust all over everything. Now that the new car jidders are gone, I was able to concentrate on just how fantastic this car is. The sound is amazing and the way it takes corners is pure magic. GM definitely hit it out of the park with the Alpha platform and even more so with the 1 LE package. During my drive i ended up playing with a lowered, straight piped 5th gen. He asked if my car was all custom and was a bit shocked when i told him it was factory stock. I told him it was a 1LE and he said he had never seen one in person. Anyway, had a great, brake dust free day with this fantastic car. There's no question that I made the right choice in the 1LE. The sound, the handling, the looks, just awesome! Love this car! |

Sounds like a great ride! I was tempted this weekend with the warm weather but going to wait it out until spring. Can’t wait! Good to hear the new brake pads worked out too.
