So I never had any sensors in my Camaro drag pack, never. If you trailer your car to the track and you install your drag pack before you go you shouldn't see a tire light when you run your car at the track. It has to be driven so far before the computer sees there are no sensors. I never drove my car on the street for 2 years and never had a tire light go off. So I figured out that it must work off key cycles and the distance you drive between the cycles. So I'm going to try it in my C7 to see if it works with it also. From what I've heard is you can't have them in the front and not in the rear or visa versa. All or none. So it seems logical if thats the case and you haul it to the track and unload, maybe drive it around the pits to warm up the drive train and you go to the staging lanes and turn the car off then restart it a couple times to get to the water box and then you make a pass you've only driven it about 3/4 mile at the most. So put your drag pack on with your stock wheels sitting by your car in the position you took them off from when your relearned them the last time. Load your car and go to the track and you shouldn't have any issues with no sensors at all. If you have to drive it thats a different story. You probably need sensors. Thats my theory and I'm sticking to it. Haha

Good info all around. Thanks. NO sensors is my next step. Car is never driven on the street, except once a year to get an inspection sticker. Still waiting on new wheels (since Dec. 28; another story) so can't experiment yet. Next trip to the track will be with zero sensors in the wheels but back-up if needed (sensors in canisters). I know, unsafe, bla bla. This will be temporary until this gets sorted with a safe, permanent solution. If no sensors does not work (think it will) then the GDS GM diagnostics tool will be next. Thanks again.

I put sensors on all 4 corners for my Weld Racing Drag Pack. I got the OE sensors from Amazon and bought the strap kit to hold them inside the wheel. I had no choice but to use the strap kit as the sensor hit the Beadlock on the back.

i put sensors in my welds too. Fronts are fine, rears give me warning every time I start the car. I might put the pcv in the trunk just to get rid of the dummy light. Weird part is the orig owner didnt have sensors in any wheel and i never got the warning or dummy light. I wonder if he did something, then the local tire tech reversed it when he put tpms in.

Follow up: Went to the track yesterday with NO TPMS Sensors mounted. No issues what-so-ever with TPMS, not even a Tire Pressure Warning Light.

Yup thats what I was saying and I did the same in my new drag pack on my C7 I ran no sensors in my Camaro for 3 years when drag racing and will do the same in my C7. When I come back home from the track I put my street tires back on and when I'm ready to go to track I put my drag pack on and load it on the trailer and make as many passes as I want without any issues.

Actually, I had the stock front wheels with the OE TPMS, and aftermarket 17" rears without any TPMS in them, for a couple of years, and they were fine. I drove it to the track, so yes the computer would give the tire warning light after driving it for a while. But I was still able to turn T/C off for racing even with the warning light.

This is great to hear. Must take a while for the module to recognize and tattle for having no sensors. Ill be mounting my slicks when getting to the track rather than driving on them on the way.

I have about 25 passes on my C7 with the new drag pack and no sensors. Still good to go.

That appears to be THE answer. Made two trips to the track now with no TPMS issues. Put up with that mess for two years! Thanks for figuring it out and sharing the info Laynlo.
