10 psi stock?

I have a mostly stock 2.0 camaro 6 spd. My only mods are a muffler delete and an injen intake. I believe that I read on this forum that stock our turbos put out close to 20 psi. Is that correct? I'm getting around 8psi with a spike to 10-11 for a second or 2.

How are you measuring boost? 10 is half of stock.

I'm using torque pro to pull the data from the ecu. Will I get a different reading if I install a physical gauge?

some gauge factor in barometric pressure... some dont. so look into that. nothing is wrong with your boost gauge or your car. i think barometric pressure is about 14 psi at sea level.

i use torque pro also i ll check which one to use.

i had the same reading and concern too until my tuner explain thag to me but i dont remember exsactly .

I switched torque to pull from the maf instead of map and it hits 20 psi spot on. Thanks for your help.

I was curious about the same thing - bone stock 2018 2.0L, both Torque (lite) and DashCommand (paid app) showed a max of around 10psi on the "boost" gauge. I'm reading around on dashxl.net forums for away to modify DashCommand to display the boost more accurately.

Please don't shoot me for asking, but is the gauge in the dash not accurate or something?

The gauge in the dash is only on the car if you got the convenience and technology package.

Thanks Everbody. If I choose to add a boost gauge is there a good line to tie into off the intake manifold? Everything looks like molded hard plastic lines.

Is the Jacfab boost O' really a help for smoothing out boost pressure? Does it throw any CEL on the stock tune?
