They can have the chip out of mine.

I think you're onto something. They could probably replenish the deficit by just asking folks that don't want AFM/DFM.

Yup, used the Range AFM disabler in my truck - zero difference in fuel consumption over the last 2 years. GM could have mine too.

Hopefully this will mean better performance out of the Silverado.

Do you drive in accordance with the EPA (or Enviro-Canada in our case) test cycle? If no, then GM doesn't particularly care. They (and every other automaker) do what they can to get a good test score, and if it works out in the real world? Congrats to the eventual buyer. But the folks who end up owning the cars & trucks they build are at best their 3rd priority. 1st is the regulators; 2nd is dealers (since they actually buy the cars from the manufacturer -not us).

Lol, I don't care if GM cares, and I get that they don't care about real world mileage...just saying I'm happy to have bypassed that feature in my truck.

Here's a shot of the under carriage from the spy photo and you can just make out the top portion of the rear shocks which has remote reservoirs attached to them like the DSSV's from the ZR2.

GM is late to the party again. I hope if they mail it in with only suspension upgrades and a new bumper, than it undercuts the Raptor/TRX pricing.

It’s disappointing it barely comes with 33s but that’s GM for you.

I remember reading when they approached AEV for the Bison that GM wouldn't allow AEV to put a bigger tire on it compared to the ZR2. In a small volume off road focused build.

GM legal or the certification team squashed it. So yeah, GM for you.
