Second gear wheel hop
I took my 2016 M6 SS to the track last night, ended up running a best of 12.36@114.8, with a 1.97 60' time. All in all, I was pretty happy with it but I did have a consistent problem every time I hit second gear, I would get wheel hop and had to ease off the throttle a bit. Track prep was great, I never did spin on the launch even at 4k rpm.
I'm running Michelin pilot sport 4S tires, stock size 275/35/20. I aired them down to 26 psi. Car has a ported throttle body but is otherwise all stock. Do I need to slip the clutch a bit when I shift into second? Or maybe a different tire pressure would help? I don't have any wheel hop on the street in any gear.

I agree wheel hop is rare with these cars. I’d start with the tire pressure. Since you were hooking, keep increasing tire pressure until you spin then back it down to where it last hooked
