GM Debt Paid?!?!

Just read this;

Apr 21, 2010, 20:14 GMT

Washington - General Motors has repaid 4.7 billion dollars in government loans issued last year, clearing its remaining debt under the Treasury Department's rescue plan to contain the fallout from the economic downturn.

The Treasury Department said Wednesday that General Motors had completed repaying its total government debt of 6.7 billion dollars five years ahead of the loan's maturity date and ahead of the company's own accelerated plan for returning the money.

Here was the link. Good news for GM and future generations of vehicles to come!!!

Wait wait wait wait... so to pay of the other $45 billion they are going to sell their debt to us in the form of stocks??? WTF! Thats like screwing the people twice!

I was all for it until I started thinking about it. Its gonna be great for the company, but I think out government is helping GM pull a fast one.
