there is a full second difference between the ET of both..... so I would disagree with you
80 is not 100+ and these cars are similar weight, so theres that using the extreme example is not really a true example is it.

yes proves the point of a driver mod I agree it is funny.

I would take that bet all day, with drivers of equal skills. But theres no way to prove either point so its all hyperbole really.

lol I don't think 21 hp is going to make up a full second in 1/4 mile ET. If you think that's true, you have to let me have some of whatever you are smoking. and these cars are NOT similar weight. there's a BIG difference between them.

alright.. well then I will use an ls2 c6 corvette to compare the scat pack challenger. the weight difference between a c6 corvette (3400) and a scat pack challenger(4000) is damn near the same as an awd stinger (4000) and a 2018 mustang(3500). you now have an 85 hp difference, the same weight difference, and damn near a full second difference in ET.

so please... tell me that it's not 100+ hp and that an extra 16 hp in the challenger will make up a full second in the 1/4 mile.

Speak for yourself , I have a convertible SS and managed 12.0s in good air.
I love my drop top automatic

My neighbor has a Scat Pack Challenger & I'd enjoy seeing him run a Kia. He rarely drives the car. I've not run up on one in the wild but, would enjoy running thru the twisty's with a Kia or an SS Camaro. Rare beast.

It's just the AWD, the Stinger gets off the line quicker. The GT was already reeling in the Stinger in half way through the quarter mile.

I also heard that the Kia can leave car shows without running over people.

Another thing I think you guys are missing is the fact that the power numbers for the KIA are underrated significantly. Like by 10% significantly. TORK Motorsports has proven that the KIA is putting down numbers to the wheels equal to what is being claimed by KIA to be what is being delivered to the crank. So it isn't down by 100 HP+ as some of you are claiming and it is down even less in Torque.

Remember, the '18 GT is the car you're supposed to be able to hop in, hit the gas and get high 11s easy as pie.

Check this thread out over on mustang6g (under the mustang vs section). While some guys accept the results and give the stinger its due respect, others are: "the track wasn't prepped, "there was bias", "the Kia is a POS", "the guy can't be a pro driver"...haha.

I think they needed Evan Smith on this one.

I have seen them run 12.0s pretty consistent,so if your saying that if you cant get it to run a 11.9 its a total failure? I find that statement hard to believe.

same thing has been said about the camaro and mustangs and challengers and well just about every sports car, take that with a grain of salt, all the underpowered hyperbole.
