Borla Cat-Back on ZL1 Convertible

Some of the ZL1 vert guys were curious about whether or not Borla’s catback can fit on the vert. It fits,one of the rear “x” support crossbars just needs to be threaded over the exhaust. See pics!

Yes, love the sound. The NPP valves still work. I thought I would have to remove the rear x link bars, but we didn't. Will get a video of a cold start in the garage tomorrow

Borla or GM? The exhaust comes smashed in the vert as well. This is the Borla catback

More than likely cost savings so they could use a one-size-fits-all exhaust for both models.

It's a 3", Borla only makes a 3" for the ZL1 (ATAK and S-Type)

Interesting.. Phastek claims they tried to fit a 3" catback to a vert and it didn't fit.

Yes, Borla states that this product is only for the coupe and not the convertible as well, because of the bracing. . I took a chance and said phuck it, worse that can happen I have to sell it to someone.

It fits, as you see above. The other way it would fit would be to remove the rear bracing X. We snaked it in between and it works great.
