I was comparing the Mustangs 12.57 time slip to my own 12.58 to see where he pulled on me at by the short times. It seems to be down low is where he got me. His 60' was a 1.949 to my 1.972. At the 330' mark the Mustang had a .059 E.T. advantage over me. By the 330' to the eigth mile mark I had caught up and had .02 E.T.over him plus .132 more mph. From eigth mile to the 1000' mark I had the advantage by .008. Lastly 1000' to Quarter went to him by .009 due to the gearing in my Camaro and hitting the rev limiter at the stripe which also killed my mph.

So as far as the battle on the top end I think I would of had him with a lil more pavement and being able to shift into 4th gear at the right point instead of running it out in 3rd. But who knows???

That really is the point...nobody knows - I certainly don't. Right now, it is all conjecture, wishful thinking, and a lot of magazine racing.

this is the closest these cars have been as high performance tourings cars at the same trim/model since 1969.

i personally dont count 1972-1992. camaro wins 1967-1971. ie 1969Z29/boss302, 396sscamaro/GT390 stang, COPO427/CJ428. camaro obviously wins 1993+. 1993 GT/Z28 -2010SS/2011GT.

neither corporate policy concerning pony cars has changed. the stang still has a bit less power until broken in.
ive stated before back on page #45 on the second page....... i based my calculation off of simple subtraction: (weight of dry car) - (weight of car with full tank) .

i got the values off of the chart i posted, the chart is based off of the values the owner of the 5.0 measured. i suggest reading all of my posts, not just one of them before saying something like that.
I suggest using a more precise method of weighing fuel Gasoline weighs 6lbs per gallon so the info you posted up is wrong. Jet fuel is a heavier fuel than gasoline, just a very refined version of diesel really and it weighs more than gasoline.

uhhh.... ok...... so you still didn't go back and read all my posts where i recognize my mistake of my previous form of determining the weight of the fuel? or the post where i myself point out the actual weight of gas?....

a majority of your posts that i have seen from you seem to be aimed at starting an argument, now why is that?

Gasoline is oil based too ... its just lighter oils. Take a barrel of crude and you can get a bunch of gasoline, some diesel, and a bunch of other stuff.

I guess the same can be said about you. I'm not going to go back and read every one of your posts. Just pointing out that you were wrong. Maybe you should go back and read all of my posts so as to clear up any misunderstandings you may have about me.....

All fuels are petroleum based, and I realize that different types of crude are refined for different types of fuel. My point was that diesel and JETA are heavier fuels based on the crude that's refined to make them. Something tells me you already knew that though

Any understanding i have of you is, admittedly, based off of your posts in mustang threads, which seem to bring out the worst in people. when i said go back and read my posts, they were all within 3-15 posts of my original comment on weight. all im saying is i have already admitted i was wrong a couple times and that my error was finding the weight of 16 gallons of gas indirectly through the chart

Do you own the 93 Stang in Waco? I see a pretty trick one leaving the airport every now and then. I fly freight out in the evenings and I see it leaving.
