2012 Z06 vs. 2013 GTR!

Quote:
It's quickly becoming a classic battle. Chevrolet Corvette versus Nissan GT-R. An all-American, rear-wheel-drive, manually shifted V8 brute versus an all-wheel-drive Japanese technology tank with twin turbos and a dual-clutch transmission. Inside Line's Road Test Editor Mike Monticello headed to the Streets of Willow Springs to do a proper comparison on the 1.8-mile road course north of Los Angeles.

Love it. Corvette wins again. People will criticize the Corvette for having the Cup tires...even though they are a factory option from GM.

I think it is kinda funny, because one of the earlier criticisms of the Z06 was that the Goodyear runflats weren't good enough ha ha.

But I like this rivalry. The GT-R is a great competitior, and the prices are more inline with the Z06 than traditional comparisons against Porsches and other luxury sports cars.

At least until the Viper comes back with a vengance...
