Did you really just bump four old, long-dead nissan threads?

Simply correcting a mistake that should not be made with all the resources on the internet.

Well, if you're that eager to correct false information on the internet, I hear YouTube has a few videos where the commenters need to be corrected. Perhaps the next time you're bored you could look a few of them up instead of Nissan threads on a Camaro forum?

I think the Camaro can be modified further due to all the aftermarket support and ease of swapping in a built engine, trans and rear end vs spending at least double to re work the Nissan powertrain and who knows how long that will stay together.

Yeah,......I did find that kinda ......petty. 1hp off, and .2L. Probably overlooked the specs. But I know what the car comes with.

i would say the trans in the gt-r would be the limiting factor .as for the more is better cylinders therory more cylinders same displacment is for a higher reving motor.
high rpm hp does not always win races ,high torque almost always does .

sure a lambo makes 600 hp at 8k rpms but a vette makes 640 hp at 6k which one wins ? and the vette probably gets the same in not better fuel milage.

for years i asked the stang guys that question with the high tech mod motor 4.6.
you have a smaller motor with all the cams and valves and make 100 hp less and get worse fuel milage ,where do i sign up for that .

Hmm... with the amount of money a GT-R costs, I'd have a new camaro SS with over 750 hp, full suspension upgrades, and a second camaro convertible V6 for my DD...

2010 Camaro SS modified extensively. I stretched the body to make it a 4 door, but I swapped in the 3.6L DI V6 for fuel economy. Then I picked up a corvette body around the V8. I also swapped the body for a C2 Z28. (In short I traded it for three cars, a Corvette Z06r, a C2 Camaro Z28, and a Cadillac CTS Summer Performance package 3.6L DI with Aisin 6spd.)
