Planted Technology looking for a 6th Gen Camaro

If anyone is near Bellevue Washington, Planted Technology would like to borrow your 6th Gen Camaro for 3-4 days and in return you will get a seat bracket for free.

The brackets would be for aftermarket seats such as Sparco, Recaro, Cobra, etc. If you didn't know, Planted Technology is a huge supplier for major name brands such as Sparco, Recaro, etc.

Please call or email Planted for more information.

I was going to to head up to Seattle in a few weeks, I can always trailer the car with me if you're not in a major rush or find someone else before hand?

I work in Bellevue, but don't plan on changing out my seats, nor can I live a few days without my car! Bummer.

Are you guys going to figure out the wiring issues also (air bag lights, etc...)? Would love to sell them once you have them made...

It would be good to make a adaptor for the stock rails to use a side mount. This will keep the SPS sensors intact.

Planted wants to make a seat base for the 6th Gen. The seat base from the 5th Gen won't fit, one bolt is off line by a few milometers.

The airbag SRS light can be tricked with a a 2 ohm resistor according to some shops.

Right? I agree.

What some shops can do also, is put the passenger seat occupancy sensor on the aftermarket seats. Or just put a resistor to the seatbelt light.

Way easier said than done with the way the stock brackets are on the seat..

Where do you plug the resistor in though?

Right into the plug that plugs into the seat. A friend of a friend did it on his 370Z and didn't have any problems. I spoke with SP Engineering in Hacienda Heights and they have done it multiple times.

Lol, I get that much... What I mean is, this car has a TON of wires under the seats and they ALL go into the same plug bulk head. Any clue on figuring out which wires?

Haha I got you. Yeah I'll have to take a look. I'm just waiting for the bracket to be made and then figure out the resistors.. Spoke with Rad Industries and he wanted ~$400 a side to custom make a seat base.

Once I get the seat base, I'll figure out the proper resistor to arm the SRS airbags. SP Engineering mentioned that they have used the seat occupancy sensor from the OEM seats and put it on the aftermarket seats as well.

Hoping you guys can find some info too!
