T-Storm rolled through yesterday. Temp was 90+. The dewpoint/humidity went north after it ended. Dew on the shield with the A/C cranked @ 71. Yes, not surprised it happened.

This morning it was 63 degrees, very low humidity. Air was nice & crisp/dry. Set a/c at 70 (so we could have the windows closed) and it still started fogging up.

GM, you better find a fix for this quickly.....

I picked up my 2017 2SS yesterday and salesman showing all the features of the radio and onstar while car is running with air condition on and fogging shows on my windshield. We tried to figured it out and even take it to the service advisor to the service department but no luck. They advice me to set an appointment so they can look it out further other than its an awesome car.

It happened the same way for me when I ordered mine. While parked idling going over things with my salesman and on the phone with On-Star it did the same thing. This was back in May when it was very hot and I literally thought oh just a new car no biggie it will be OK. Still the same now after 3 trips still the same. Last week I drove the car and had to put both zones at 78 fan on low to keep the windshield from fogging up excessively. Was a hot day and uncomfortable ride. I bumped the settings down to 75 to cool off and the windshield immediately fogged up bad. I never turn the re-circulation on or I would have to pull over because then I can't see out the windshield at all.

And you're in Hawaii, which has way lower humidity than the mainland. Thanks for another example.

Had a 45-minute drive this morning, low 80s, high dew point and humidity, temp set between 73-76 and torso vents only, and I still started to fog up. Threw my mousepad up and it at least covers the left vent, so my view in-front of me isn't obstructed. The right-side is still exposed and will fog, but it DOES cut down on the amount.

I'd recommend anyone here to pick up a cheap black mousepad on Amazon and keep it in the glove compartment for days when it fogs up, at least to have SOMETHING to block the vents and keep the fogging to a minimum.

So has anyone heard back from the GM rep? Is there a fix coming?

Vent actuator replacement fail. They need to find where the cold air is blowing out of.

Look at their weather today. Mid 80's with mid 70's humidity! Not much different from lots of places on the mainland. Lived there 7 years, it does get moist from time to time.

Wow...63 degrees, low humidity?
I expect to see temps that low come November in my world.
When I do...No A/C w/windows/roof cracked open enjoying every second of that feeling. Perhaps defrost on 70+ ish.

2:58pm 85*F humidity 72 at this moment. Set my a/c @ 62*F circulation off and no fogging at all.

Generic copy/paste PM from Chevy CS saying they are looking into it blah blah blah... there is enough sample data by now. If those in Michigan don't understand or trust the service managers down here, then fly on down. But wait... every model of Camaro since 2009 has been tested in Florida during the summer. How was this not seen when the 2016 SS and 2017 ZL1 were testing?
