I will def be taking it to the track. have to sort out a few things yet, like pulling the cats off and getting it re-tuned, and maybe installing a JMS powermax to ensure the low side pump is holding up and i will be good to go.

Bone stock at Cecil County MD on Continental ExtremeContac tires i went 12.21 @ 116.80. So I would be thrilled to got low 11's, maybe break into the 10's with some DR's......?

Congrats, nice numbers. Should be over 600 once you get the last few things completed. Look forward to see your 1/4 mile times.

As a reference point. I saw gains of 145hp/155tq, over stock dyno with the whipple supplied calibration, everything else 100% stock.

Provoke much? What does that even mean? Are prochargers not capable of adding similar power with LT4 Fuel system, smaller pulley, custom tune, etc?

It amazes me that people constantly critique what people decide to do with THIER car . The OP is happy with his gains he has made. Why not just leave it at that!

The PDs and centri are 2 different animals. I was really close to doing a procharger system, but wanted the instant hit of torque. Probably would have been happy either way.

The point is the I'd rather have this setup then this is what I meant! It's like running 22 inch rims vs 19s.

"After letting the Camaro cool down, the ProCharger crew was back at it bolting up the P-1SC-1 and again strapped the Camaro down for a few pulls. Once more, we were impressed with the short amount of time it took to bolt on the supercharger and get the car ready for another round on the dyno. As expected, the improvement was substantial. At 7.1 psi max boost, the Camaro’s peak numbers came in at 549 hp and 470 lb-ft of toque. That’s an increase of 131 horsepower and 71 lb-ft of torque. Now, that’s a great improvement, especially in the heat of summer. And any time you can bolt on over 130 horsepower in a few hours, well, that’s right up our alley."

I had a vortech T trim on a 96 z28 didn't really care for PDs after this you can see my next 3 cars and builds. My next build 2010 SS had a PD eforce maxed it out easily not the best choices but the dealer installed it and it didn't affect my warranty felt better than my 96 vortech and drove a lot nicer with out that goddy sound of a bad power steering pump whine!, pulled it off and went TT by far the best bang for the buck lost to nothing roll racing lost to most everything at the strip w no traction but I loved the 135 mph speeds. I'm happy with the my zl1 till the 2650 is available ill stick with a PD for the instant hit.

Installing cat delete pipes tonight, hitting the dyno Tuesday for a final re-tune. Keep you all posted! This should be the end of my build for now.

Good luck. I am itching to start phase 2 of my build. Still debating which direction I want to go on a few things, also considering the cat delete after reading this.

What cat delete pipes are using?

On the LT4 HPFP install when you replaced the high pressure fuel feed line do you use the LT1 feed line 12677004 or the LT4 feed line 12677005. From what I read it is the LT1 feed line but I read something different the other day so trying to confirm.

Thanks

I used the new era performance cat delete pipes, bought them thru weaponX.

http://www.neweraperformanceparts.co...ete-pipes.html

Nice quality and fit, the top 2 nuts on the driveside were close to the pipe making them harder to tighten than the others.

With all stock exhaust and the cat delete pipes it is REALLY loud and raspy, don't really care for how loud it is. Just ordered Borla atak axle back with their mid pipe kit and the resanators, hope I like the way it sounds with the borla stuff installed. I knew with all the cats deleted it would be louder but, geez it's alot. Should of just did headers and full exhaust from the start.

As for the LT4 HPFP I didn't need to get any other fuel lines other than what was stock or supplied by Whipple.

Getting it returned on Tuesday for the cat delete setup, should be able to lean on it harder now without the cats and let it eat!
