01pewterz28 hit the nail on the head. The extra power is nice, even with the V6 I can't use all that it has and still be legal (in ontario if you're caught 50K/Hr over the limit you loose your car). Plus you have the rare ABM (as I do) and it's a great colour, get lots of comments on it. Having the V6 is no different than having a small block chev back in the day, lots of mods to squeeze more HP if you want.

- Thats something to think about. My fiance likes my car as well maybe after the wedding be like hey.... would you like a camaro? I already know what that answer would be. Were setting pretty good financially especially for as young as we are. Im 23 and shes 20. Both have our cars all paid off. Between the two of us now our fleet is: Grand Am (my beater with a heater but yet very reliable), 2010 Camaro (Mine) and her 07 G6 V6. We also have a really nice hefty amount of cash saved up for a down payment on a house. So money right now isnt a issue.... oh and kids will be a few yrs down the road. love them but were going to wait a while and enjoy being young a bit longer

I get the compliments all of the time about the color. I think it stands out well from the rest of traffic -well, between the farm trucks and tractors the joys of living in central nebraska... It is fun to take the camaro on very isolated black tops and just drive as fast as you want. The highways are for the most part flat, like everything else here..so you can see everything, plus.... not many cops I dont like breaking the law, but sometimes its to hard to resist

I would not worry about the comments "oh its a v6". Most of the people who say that are driving a P.O.S or wish they had your car

Good to know... Well I just paid it off a month ago and thats where it sits, in the garage. What transmission did you have on the V6 and your current SS? I have a manual on my V6 and well if i were to get another camaro.. I would get a manual again. If they were both manual how do they compare? Also how does the car compare in general?

Bud... It would take a HUGE HUGE amount of money to make me part with a "First Year, 5th Gen, ABM RS" It may not seem so right now but if you take care of it... Your ABM will be worth tons! People are paying 100K for well maintained/restored Camaros. I know it would take someone handing me the Keys and the title to an NEW ZL1 to make me part with my 2SS/RS!!!

i did a trade in of my 1LT/RS for a 2SS/RS 2 weeks ago.

Besides the extra power, I wanted to do it for all the extras I didnt have in my v6, like orange leather, orange trim and door panels, gauge pack, sunroof, back-up sensors, HUD, etc.

It sounds meaner (esp. with the muffler delete) which was a big deal for me as the v6 just didnt have enough growl for a muscle car.

I'd say keep yours since you have a 2LT and a rare, beautiful blue color. You'd only be upgrading for engine alone, while in my case I did it for the engine AND all the extras like I mentioned above I didnt have.

I say stay with the blue. That's more rare than any SS. If you have the money for it, buy an SS and keep the LT. That ABM could be worth a lot of money in the future.

I'm looking at making the trade up to an SS but I'm trying to get another SGM.. If I were you though I wouldn't trade that ABM for anything unless its another ABM. Its an amazing color and like others have said it will probably be worth quite a bit in the future.

Since you just paid that one off here is another option. Become a 2 Camaro owner. Keep your v-6. It has a rare color and in time will be worth a pretty penny. Then go buy a v-8 now and have fun with it. This is what my wife and I are doing.

I did the trade from a 2010 2LT/RS (auto) to a 2011 2SS/RS (manual), and I must say..... I LOVE IT! The power of the V8 makes every single drive an absolute pleasure. Dont get me wrong, the V6 is a great car (i had it for 2 years) and it is plenty fast. But the V8 has all the grunt and noise you expect from a true muscle car. You will not regret the move.

However.... as others have said, you have an extremely rare color. Aqua Blue Metallic is quite beautiful. I doubt they will be worth much money any time soon (maybe 30-40+ years), but you may want to hand it down to the wife if its an option.
