MSD Atomic Intake Manifold Worth It?

I hear there are some problems with the top bolts coming loose after a few thousand miles of driving. I want a full bolt on build, but I don't want a headache with this intake manifold. Has anyone had any problems with this intake?

I've had mine on for 6k miles and the bolts were still at the same torque value as when I first installed it.

Yeah mostly the corvette guys reported it, only heard one camaro person say the same thing. Want to make sure if this is a product issue or an install issue.

I've had issues with mine and so have a few others. Use a bead of rtv on the gasket and on the bolts so they don't back out, then you'll be good 2 go.

Just watched your video...funny thing is your car looks like mine, but sounds so much better!
Was that a street in Mexico?

Really love the sound of your car with that cam, makes mine sound like a Prius!

We have not had any issues with them. We have some good pricing on them and we can even do porting for better results. I see you're in IL. If you are near the Chicago area we'd love to do the install/tune. We'd love to do a before and after dyno test for you.

I had a ton of issues with my MSD intake manifold. I had to retorque them repeatedly and it still leaked. I ended up taking the manifold apart, using gasket sealer, epoxy and even red Loctite to get it to finally seal.

No issues here. Followed the directions, used fresh port gaskets. No leak, even with the black insulator pad still under it.

Also no issues and pleased with the result. Also added the 95mm TB. And yes blue loctite is your friend. No tune initially and she ran just fine.

Followed directions with fresh gaskets available on Amazon (I think these are a "must have" even if your originals look to be in good shape). Get a good inch/pound torque wrench (very pleased with my Tekton 1/4" drive). I left the black insulator pad off, but no problems after at least 6K miles here either.

As an old friend once told me, "jump in there and get your feet wet!"
