HOPEFULLY NO MORE VALVE FLOAT!
So with new engine valvetrain/cam setup I decided to go with a solid roller camshaft. The benefit with solid cam is it allows much higher spring pressures and therefor valve float is greatly minimized.
Bob Cook @ Cam Motion set me up with custom roadrace grind along with ultra high quality solid lifters from Stuart and PAC springs and retainers that are on a 8 degree locks. Motivation to install has fresh engine has been low since our idiot NJ governor has closed down NJMP with no opening in site! |

Sounds wonderful! Did you have to tweak the knock sensors to accommodate the solid roller?

I did tweak them on last setup. That startup was actually first run for this setup! Others have said that Cam Motions LLR are actually low maintenance and very quiet. We will see. 8K rpms will be no issues for this setup |

Yeah I cannot wait. Changed more stuff all at the same time, more then I would have liked to but... DSSV suspension Katech lightweight flywheel. Big concern is aftermarket sway bars and now stiffer DSSV springs. Adjusted bars so softest setting. |
