Rough cold start/idol

Finally got to drive my car a little with the PC. Anyone know why the first 60-90seconds is rough and “herky jerky”? After a min or two...it runs great and I can’t duplicate the issue. Only happens on cold starts. Plugs? I’m running PCs Canned tune....for a few more weeks at least.

Could be misfiring. I had the same issue where it was rough on cold starts only and then after it calmed down it was fine. I would sometimes get a flashing check engine light indicating misfires. I used hptuners to see what cylinders were misfiring and I had to replace 2 injectors to fix it. I'm not supercharged though so it might not be the same issue.

No check engine lights ever. I’m leaning towards plugs. I suspected I used the wrong plugs from the get go when I installed the PC. Manual said to use a plug one step cooler than stock but also recommended a NGK with a part number that was actually two steps cooler.

Does the fact you are significantly more power than me play a factor? Or that I’m running a canned tune? It’s really weird....it only last about one minute and then it runs great.

What plug gap are you running? Very tight plug gaps tend to make cold starts & idling funky.

Based on my experiences the canned tune leaves a lot to be desired.

I retune hundreds of procharger cars and everyone is much happier after I get done.

Give me a call I will get you headed in the right direction.203-753-7223

power is irrelevant...my guess is it's the canned tune.
