I don't know... it sounds exactly the same as all those European FPC engines. Interesting to hear it in a Corvette, but not really my cup of tea.

I think this so-called flat plane crank engine noise has mysteriously been detected in spy videos of Corvette testing for several previous years ever since the Ford GT came out with one and has yet to be a reality. Sort of like the phantom super-charger whine that is listened for, supposedly heard, but no where to be found...Fun to guess about it, but these video sound tracks are usually pretty unreliable.

I believe this engine is going to surprise many people when aftermarket forced induction comes into play. Z06s are supposed to be pushing 550+ naturally aspirated. The high revving nature of the engine will complement forced induction nicely.
