And that site you posted is garbage LOL... Its a shill site if I have ever seen one. "BUY NOW BUY NOW BUY NOW"

Only oil site I trust is BITOG.

WIX builds A TON of the OEM filters. They are regarded as being pretty good while being cheap.
Bob Is The Oil Guy is the one and only site to get your Oil and Filter information you need. It is all right there for you reading pleasure.

It is designated to be used on the LT4 engine by GM. That is my point. Not unusual for filters to have more than one application.

K&N oil filters are garbage. You start poking around and you'll find stories of them sticking to the engine (even when properly installed) and then that little pot metal nut on the end (that is the ONLY thing you can grab it by), rounds off and then comes apart like the recycled old Frigidaire emblem metal that it is, and you have to employ harsh methods to remove the old filter. Hammer and chisel, unless you can get some kind of strap wrench on it, and even then don't count on anything more than the filter body deforming. And, yes, I have seen this first hand. Whee.

And, K&N air filters let more dirt into your engine than an OEM filter does, so those are just swell, too.

anyone overthinking which oil filter to use...if my motor blows up, I want a PF-64 in place. Otherwise, GM has reason to deny a warranty claim. This makes the PF-64 the best & ONLY choice.

I'm with you.

Is there a consensus on where the best place to get them is, price-wise?

If you want to know how a filter compares - cut them open.
I would not take some ones intenet word - Trust but VERIFY.

Snake oil aside!
WIX makes a great filter and after looking at all the others I personally will use WIX or ACDELCO.
PF64 is recommended for the V8 Camaros from the factory.
It has the Anti-Drain Back valve - If you leave it sit for extended periods you need the Anti-Drain Back Valve.

In November of 2017 WIX specified 57060 for all 2010 - 2018 V8 Camaros.
They recently updated the 2016 -2018 Camaro to specify instead WIX WL10290. I have yet to find one and cut it apart.
According to the WIX site the By-Pass Valve Setting- PSI went from 12 PSI to 22 PSI.

Want the exact same thing as 57060 but cheaper - The "WHITE LABLE" WIX sold as PRO-TEC 115
- Search O Reilly's web site for 115MP $32 for a case of 12 = $2.67 per.
Yes its compatible (yes it has the drain back valve)- cut one open and compare lots of folks have.
I used this in 2 2010 NA Camaros and a 2012 ZL1 - driving and light tracking each car over 70K miles no issue.

I buy in bulk and just bought PF64 in March from Rock Auto - They have them in a case of 10 including shipping was $4.00 each
At this price point any cheaper than 4$ is just silly. Add to that the fact WIX changed their specification makes me wonder.

I use these PRO-TEC Filters at $32 per case for the following. - Never had an issue and not under warrantee
WIX 57060 = PRO-TEC 115 - LS motors
WIX 51060 = PRO-TEC 162 - BB motors
WIX 51069 = PRO-TEC 102 - SB motors

GM is betting their $65,000 car and its associated warranty on that AC Delco PF64.
